I am a Colorado Native wedding and family photographer obsessed with the beauty of my state. I love to travel and experience different countries and cultures, but I'm always grateful to return to home, sweet, home - Denver, Colorado

In high school, I loved documenting adventures with my besties, a habit that continued into college at Colorado State University where I studied journalism. Even though I loved taking photos, I didn't know it would become a career. 

I was actually a wedding planner, first. It was fun to be creative and assist couples with their big day, but I couldn't help but be drawn to the images and beautiful albums that existed long after the champagne was popped and the flowers had wilted. Wedding photographers had super powers to freeze time and keep the memories of a gorgeous day alive.

After a couple years, I was able to start Mary Mascarenas Photography. It's been nearly 8 years since I started this challenging and beautiful adventure. I dabbled in various areas of photography, but wedding and family photography is what makes my heart sing.

Without a doubt, the best part of my job is the people I've met. My clients/friends blow me away with their kindness and love stories. They make this job so amazing! When I get to celebrate milestones with couples, and witness their families growing, my heart swells with joy.  I value these relationships so much.

I know there are lots of talented photographers in Colorado, and maybe you need to try out a few, but I'll always be excited to see you again, whether it be 10 months or 10 years later!

I found my passion and purpose in photography, and I wouldn't dream of giving it up!
